Your Path to Halal Certification
Submit Your Application
Begin by completing and submitting your halal certification application to DHCE. Provide details about your business, product range, ingredients, and production processes so our team can assess your requirements.
Receive Your Certification Quote
Following a review of your application and documentation, DHCE will issue a tailored quote for your certification. This covers the full scope of the audit and certification process specific to your business and product categories. If any documentation is incomplete, DHCE will contact you to resolve this before proceeding.
Accept Quote and Sign Agreements
Once you accept the quote, DHCE will issue a Halal Certification Agreement and a Confidentiality Agreement. These set out the terms of certification and protect your business information throughout the process.
Schedule Your On-Site Halal Audit
DHCE will work with you to schedule a convenient date for your on-site audit. Two qualified DHCE auditors will be assigned to conduct a thorough inspection of your facilities, production processes, ingredients, and supply chain.
On-Site Audit and Findings Report
Two DHCE auditors conduct the on-site halal audit at your premises. Following the audit, a detailed Halal Audit Report is issued outlining any findings. Your business will be required to address and close all findings before proceeding to the next stage.
DHCE Decision Committee Review
With all audit findings closed, your full application is reviewed by the DHCE internal Decision Committee. The committee rigorously assesses the audit report, findings closure, and your overall compliance before making a certification decision.
Halal Certificate Issued and Access to Global Markets
Upon approval by the Decision Committee, your official Halal Certificate is issued. Your certificate opens your business to Muslim consumers across local and international markets.
Need Certification on an Urgent Basis?
DHCE offers a fast-track certification process for businesses with time-sensitive requirements. Contact our team directly by email to discuss your situation and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Audit Findings Are a Normal Part of the Process
If DHCE auditors identify findings during your audit, this does not mean your application has failed. It means areas of improvement have been identified. Here is what happens next.
Findings Report Issued
Following the on-site audit, DHCE issues a detailed Halal Audit Report listing all findings. Each finding is clearly described so your team understands exactly what needs to be addressed.
Your Business Responds
Your business submits a corrective action response addressing each finding raised. DHCE reviews your response and confirms whether the findings have been satisfactorily closed before proceeding.
Process Continues
Once all findings are closed and confirmed by DHCE, your application proceeds to the Decision Committee for final review. The process continues without needing to restart from the beginning.
Our team is here to support you. If you are unsure how to address a finding, our auditors are available to provide guidance. Getting certified is a collaborative process and DHCE is committed to helping your business succeed.
