History of the Department of Halal Certification EU
- Due to the high demand for Halal certification in Ireland by Irish companies DHCE was established under the umbrella of Al-Mustafa Islamic Centre Ireland in 2010.
- Initially Halal Certification was provided to Irish slaughterhouses and meat factories, but this quickly extended to other food products, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
- DHCE is a non-profitable organisation and all profits generated are spent on Al-Mustafa Islamic Centre Ireland and renowned Irish NGO Irish Muslim Peace & Integration Council.
- Currently DHCE has approved and certified more than 1000 Food products, Cosmetic products and Pharmaceutical products in Ireland, UK, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Germany, Portugal, France, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Netherland and the US.
